The MediVoice Recruit global team are experts in meeting quotas of all scopes, and in particular, pride ourselves in their ability to overcome logistical challenges posed by large scale recruits and assesments. For this project, our client aimed to conduct a large summative Asthma study commencing just weeks after Covid restrictions being lifted in the US. Their brief stipulated the management of 4 separate facilities across the US, to be completed using recruits from markets that were less affected by Covid. This restriction presented the challenge of recruiting from a niche pool. Outside of this unique requirement, our client’s participant profile was relatively broad, consisting of both adolescents and adults with moderate to severe asthma and caregivers to asthma patients, including 50% that were injection experienced.
The MediVoice team created and optimised a complex schedule consisting of 240 slots to be utilised across 6 days a week for a total of 4 weeks. With each respondent requiring training at a specific time prior to their session, higher dropout rates were diligently managed, whilst recruit numbers were calculated with the implications of covid-related dropouts and issues in mind. To further counter the challenge of recruiting children with injection experience, we recommended recruits with proxy conditions such as food allergies and diabetes in order to meet the quota.
Despite the logistical challenges and high dropout rates posed by the Covid-era timing of this study, alongside the difficulty of recruiting children with injection experience, our team succeeded in meeting every quota put forward by our client within the precise timeframe proposed.
