Improving Drug Delivery for Parkinson’s Disease Patients
Understanding Parkinson's Patients, Caregivers and HCPs Who Treat Them.
Global Case Study
MediVoice Recruit have proven to be an outstanding recruitment and management partner for studies requiring a human touch. Each of our team members shares a passion for ensuring quality and comfort are balanced across the board – leaving both participants and clients satisfied. Our unique sensitivity to our recruits’ needs was heavily utilised throughout one of our latest projects, for which our global team was tasked with managing both the recruitment and logistics of a programme of formative and summative human factors studies around a drug delivery device for patients with less controlled Parkinson’s Disease, their caregivers and HCPs who treat them.
The study was ultimately composed of face to face IDIs split across 4 cities in the US, and involved an intensive schedule of 5 training and assessment sessions over 3 days for the patient and caregiver pairs. MediVoice tackled this large scale task with great success, ultimately working to independently manage the recruitment of patients, caregivers and HCPs, the booking of multiple rooms within 4 facilities, the arrangement of audio and video recording, the hiring of extra equipment where live viewing was not possible, and the booking of suitable hotel rooms for the patients and their caregivers. The number of sessions scheduled, alongside the nature of the study and its elderly participants made this recruit undeniably challenging, however, our client’s readiness to go above and beyond paired with our skilful recruitment and management ensured the patients were comfortable and happy to attend.
This complex, large-scale recruitment and management project was a great success for both our client, and the MediVoice global team, despite the logistical challenges of arranging so many IDIs across multiple locations with both patients and professionals. The client managed all moderation, and reported that the participants had enjoyed taking part in the experience, despite the relatively intense schedule.
